What does “not confirmed” mean?

A timeout, browser restriction, VPN setting or unavailable test endpoint can prevent confirmation. It does not prove that your network lacks IPv4 or IPv6. Refresh to try again or read the IPv4 and IPv6 guide.

VPN & PRIVACY SIGNALS

Leak checks

These run automatically with every check. Turn your VPN on, press Refresh, and read each line.

  • WEBRTC LEAKWaiting…

Checks whether WebRTC (used by calls and some games) reveals an address websites did not see.

  • IPV6 LEAKWaiting…

Compares the countries of your IPv4 and IPv6 exits.

  • TIME ZONEWaiting…

Compares your device clock with the IP location.

  • DNS LEAKNot tested here

A DNS leak test needs a dedicated DNS test service. Turn on DNS leak protection in your VPN app.

What these checks can and cannot show

These checks can flag an additional WebRTC address or different IPv4 and IPv6 locations. A difference can suggest a routing issue, but it does not prove a VPN leak. They cannot see other apps, your DNS resolver or traffic outside this browser, and a clean result does not certify privacy. The WebRTC check contacts Cloudflare’s public STUN server (stun.cloudflare.com), which sees your address like any website.

BEFORE / AFTER

Compare before and after

  1. Save your current connection.
  2. Switch your VPN server or network.
  3. Check again and compare the results.

Your saved connection stays in this tab for up to 30 minutes from the time it was checked. You can delete it at any time. A failed check keeps your saved connection available for another try.

No saved connection yet.

What if the address stays the same?

Your VPN may already have been connected when you saved your connection, or the new request may use the same exit address. Some applications use different paths through split tunneling. An unchanged address alone does not establish whether a VPN is working.
