Privacy Policy

IPNIXA uses your public IP address to answer your request. Lookup results are not stored in an application database.

Operator

ipnixa.com — An independently operated service managed by an individual. Contact: contact@ipnixa.com.

What the lookup uses

When you open IPNIXA, your browser requests your connection details from our server. The server reads the public IP address of that request and the network metadata supplied by our hosting provider — approximate country, region, city, time zone, coordinates and network operator — and returns them to your browser for display. Location is an estimate for the network, not your device. We never request GPS or device location permission.

Because a website normally sees only one address family per request, your browser also sends small requests directly to Cloudflare’s IPv4 (1.1.1.1) and IPv6 test endpoints to check the available public addresses. These requests carry no cookies, referrer, or page content; Cloudflare sees your IP address as with any request, under the hosting policy below. The answers are used only for display and are not sent to us.

Abuse protection

To keep the service available for people, requests are counted per IP address (per network prefix for IPv6) for up to one minute at the edge location that handles them, and excessive or automated requests are blocked. These counters are not linked to any profile and expire automatically.

Information read only in your browser

The device section shows a general browser and operating system name, screen size and browser language. These values are read and displayed locally and are not sent to us.

Connection comparison

If you choose Save current connection, the addresses, network metadata and check time are kept in this tab’s session storage for up to 30 minutes. They are not sent to our server as a comparison history. Selecting Delete saved connection removes the saved comparison immediately; closing the tab ends its session. On the home page, the privacy check also keeps your most recent check made without a VPN in the same session storage for up to 30 minutes, so it can show what changed after you turn a VPN on. It never leaves your browser. The privacy check’s WebRTC test contacts Cloudflare’s public STUN server, which sees your address like any website. The browser may retain a page result in its back/forward cache. We also attach the latest result to this page’s local browser history entry, without putting it in the URL, so Back can restore it when that cache is unavailable. Results older than five minutes are not reused from history. A restored result is labeled and can be refreshed. This state is local to your browser and is not an application database or server-side history.

Leak checks and gaming tools

On the Network Check and VPN check pages, the WebRTC leak check asks your browser to contact Cloudflare’s public STUN server (stun.cloudflare.com) and reads the addresses the browser would share. The comparison happens in your browser and is not sent to us. On the gaming page, the ping test times a few small requests from your browser to Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 test endpoint, and the router WAN address you type for the CGNAT check stays on the page. Cloudflare sees your IP address for these requests, as with any request.

Hosting

IPNIXA is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes every request to deliver and protect the site and may keep operational and security logs under its own privacy policy. We do not claim that an IP address is never processed or logged by infrastructure providers.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages and tools they use, and whether checks succeed, so we can improve the service. It records pages viewed, approximate country and city, device and browser type, how you arrived, and actions such as running a check, copying a result or reaching a section of the page. These events never include the IP addresses, network names or other results shown on this site. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off for analytics.

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) to tell visits apart. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default and only cookieless measurement is used unless you give consent. Analytics is not loaded on automated browsers. You can opt out with Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on; see also how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Advertising and cookies

IPNIXA plans to fund the service through Google AdSense. When advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising in Google's My Ad Center, and opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's certified consent management platform before personalized ads or ad cookies are used. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with Privacy choices in the footer. Depending on your choice, you may see personalized, limited or no ads. The IP lookup works regardless of advertising consent, and WebDriver-based automated testing does not request ads.

U.S. advertising privacy choices

When advertising is enabled and Google’s U.S. state privacy message applies, use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information in the footer to review your advertising opt-out choices. The option is shown when the configured privacy service makes it available for your region. You can continue to use the IP lookup after opting out. Learn more about Google’s U.S. state privacy messages.

Your privacy requests

We do not maintain user accounts or an application database of lookup results. You can delete a saved comparison in the tool where you saved it. Hosting and advertising partners process information as described above; their privacy tools cover data they hold. For questions or requests about data processed by IPNIXA, contact us below.

Children

IPNIXA is a general-audience service and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).

Changes and contact
